Panagiotis Kotronaros has organized and led more than 40 mountain expeditions to the planet’s largest mountain ranges. His biggest accomplishment was leading the first ever successful Greek Himalayan expedition to Mt. Everest the spring of 2004.
He is a certified mountain guide and national instructor of mountaineering & climbing of the Hellenic Mountaineering & Climbing Federation and official trainer for the Greek Fire Brigade with more than twenty years of training experience as well as organizing courses for alpinism. Panagiotis also founded three companies from zero base: “BASE CAMP” a travel agency which is focused on activity based holidays, mountain training and expeditions, “BEST EVENT” for corporate events and business training and “WAYPOINT P.C” for online marketing and reputation management.
What is the number one tip you have for someone who wants to achieve a healthier life?
I believe that the number one tip is to keep active. Simply focus on moving more! Any form of movement will help you reach your fitness goal. Exercise is an extremely important factor in staying healthy, boosts heart health, burns calories, improves cardiovascular conditioning and strengthens your bones. So try to be as active as you can.
Who is the person who inspires you the most?
This person is the ultra-marathoner Dean Karnazes, an internationally recognized endurance athlete who has push his body and mind to inconceivable limits. He has run 350 continuous miles, foregoing sleep for three nights, he’s run in extreme conditions across Death Valley and South Pole, he completed 50 marathons, in all 50 US states, in 50 consecutive days and many more. But the most important thing is that he has managed to combine his amazing athletic background, with an accomplished family and businessman’s life with a notable professional
career as well as philanthropic actions and writing bestselling books.
